Representatives From Branch 258 Attend PA State Convention
Four members of Branch 258 were in attendance at the NALC PA State Association convention held in Pittsburgh on September 26-28. The agenda for the convention included workshops, elections of state officers and board, as well as updates on the current activities of the postal service and national union. NALC national officers Jane Brondel and Tim O'Mally were on hand to speak to the assembly, as well as answering questions from delegates. Workshops focused on legislative goals and updates, route inspection training and an OWCP presentation. The Pennsylvania State Association 2013 NALC Convention will be held in Pittsburgh on September 26 - 28. This three day event will include the election of State officers for the ensuing term, workshops, and the conducting of State Association business sessions. Eligibility to attend the convention is as follows: nomination of a delegate at the October 2012 Branch 258 regular meeting, election if warranted by the number of nominations relative to the number of delegates afforded to the branch, and attendance credit at a minimum of eight regular union meetings in the 12 months prior to the convention.
