The 2016 Branch 258 MDA Bowl-A-Thon was held on March 13. Letter carriers, friends, and families turned out for a Sunday afternoon of fun, bowling, food, and fellowship to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association. In past years the bowl-a-thon has raised awareness and money for MDA, and this year was no exception, as over $1800 was raised to help deliver the cures for muscle related diseases. Local MDA children were on hand to share in the event, as well as their families, and are included in the photo gallery below along with (hopefully) nearly all of the participants. A big thank you goes out to all of the area business who sponsored lanes and donated prizes for drawings. Some of these included gift cards for area restaurants, health and beauty baskets, kids entertainment and sports packages, and a date night including a stay at the new Doubletree Hotel in Reading. A big thank you also goes out to veterans of the event who returned this year, and to the many new participants. We hope to see all of you again next time, as we attempt to again grow the bowl-a-thon into "better than ever" status!
