Carrier Alert!
April 26 has been declared a day of action, in response to the news that the President intends to sign an executive order taking away the independence of the Postal Service and putting it into the purview of the Commerce Department. This would give him the ability to remove the Postal Governors and regulatory board, name the next Postmaster General, seize control of the Postal Service, and usher it down the path to privatization. We are asking all carriers to download the NALC app (if you haven't already), which is free from whatever app store is used by your cell phone service, and follow the simple directions help us take a stand. Contact the White House and tell them to let the Postal Service alone!!!
